(no subject)
Tonight I cooked turkey and sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes were peeled and cut into large chunks, then doused with butter, sugar, and cinnimon and put in the oven in a medium sized pot with a lid on it at 350F. When they were done, I took the pot out of the oven with the oven mitt that I had so smartly place right next to the oven to remind myself to use it. Then I got a bowl out of the cabinet and lifted the top off of the pot with my bare hand while the part of my brain that feels pain yelled obscene things at me. Unfortunately, I initially told that part of my brain to be quite because I was trying to make sure that the potatoes were ready. Now I have 1st/2nd degree burns on the first 4 fingers of my left hand and part of my palm. At least dinner came out good.
