(no subject)
I neglected to mention in my last post that Joseph was feeling a bit under the weather yesterday. He's been cutting a new tooth, so he was drooling everywhere and had a bit of a stuffy nose. As we started drifting off to sleep, however, his stuffy nose got worse and woke him up, so we spent a few hours trying to clear out his nose and get him back to sleep. Finally we brought him back to our bed, elevated his head to let his nose drain, and he entered a fitful sleep until about 2am, when he started feeling much better. How do I know he felt better? Because he woke up and, instead of crying, pulled on my nose until I woke up, yanked on and sneezed in my ear, and then began beating me over the head with his pacifier while singing "aaaaaa-ba-BA, aaa-ba-ba-BA, a-ba-BA" over and over again in a high-pitched (but melodious) voice. I still haven't gotten back to sleep. On the bright side, at least he can carry a tune. :)
