the visits, they do blur

my brain cells really aren't firing like they used to. for the past month i've only had one visitor-less weekend, and my memories of the events are turning to mush. :p within that small span of time...

hmm ethnic food stores... actually the last chinese grocery store in chinatown actually closed not too long ago, and i'm not aware of too many others right in dc proper. fortunately, there are a lot within metro reach, especially near where i live which is right outside the DC line in MD.

off the top of my head....

wheaton on red line = TONS of ethnic food, but it's a good 40+ min metro ride for you from foggy bottom. grocers within 1-4 block radius: 2 vietnamese, thai, korean, filipino, and jewish.

bethesda on red line (this one will be closer to you) = 2 japanese grocers, one with some of the best and cheapest take out sushi in the area. :p

the chinese and most of the large korean grocers are in suburb VA or MD.

as for farmer's markets, you have one right in GWU! well.. ok it's right around foggy bottom metro. :p every wednesday, but it's sort of small. also a large one at the dupont stop. actually, check out this link for all the markets in the fresh farm series, all are near metros and most are very near you.

there are other farmer's markets in the area outside of that series of course, along with a mini indoors one at eastern market which is very similiar to the reading terminal in philly, albeit 1/10 the size. :p

hmm cheap food... ok i'm going to be lame and just post this link for now. XD
