Trainer... Oh, uh. Sometimes I forget you people who aren't Pokemon usually don't have one. I guess they're like the person who raises you, helps you learn practical fighting skills... The one in charge of it all.

If that's how you really feel about them, then.... Go for it. Nobody should be held back if they know for sure they can be better. Stronger.

I- I'm actually the one holding my team back, I think. Back home, a trainer's success is based on how strong his Pokemon is, and I... could stand to be a little stronger...

[She self-consciously scratches at her cut and frowns.] I dunno. I don't want to be a big disappointment anymore. It's dumb. I'm clingy. You're so sure that you can be so independent and I... can't.

I think you're pretty strong. I mean, we haven't sparred or anything [and uh yeah there's that cut???] but you know how to stand up for yourself.

Well, yeah. I wouldn't be able to stand up for others if I couldn't even stand up for myself first.
