Z. Thanks for taking my call.
T. Thanks for being civil.
Z. Sorry, I was really upset.
T. I know. So was I. You really need to learn to control yourself, though. You can't just go through life being so reckless, Zin, you get yourself into trouble.
Z. Yeah, but I did it on accident.
T. You meant it to be an accident?
Z. Yeah.
T. You realize that doesn't make any sense, right?
Z. The last thing I need is someone blaming me for -
T. I'm not blaming you. No one is blaming you... come on, no one knows you like I do. No one has any idea you did that on purpose.
Z. I do everything on purpose.
T. Babe... they don't know that either.
Z. I know.
T. You're a good boy. You just don't know how to act like one.
Z. I miss you.
T. I miss you too, baby. How have you been anyway?
Z. Shouldn't I be asking that of you?
T. I'm not the uncontrollable twink in the big wide word.
Z. Well, I'm not strapped to the bed...
T. Hey, now. They loosen the leathers every once in a while. Oh, I can hear you melt.
Z. I miss you.
T. It's okay.
Z. Did they tell you I came by a couple weeks ago?
T. They did. They said you were in pretty bad shape, didn't really trust you to be around the other patients. Not surprised. Still, they shouldn't have just sent you away. What happened?
Z. Did they put you on an experimental drug?
T. ...I... just got it today...
Z. Oh good. Oh god, I'm so glad...
T. ...what?
Z. I did it. I referred you and my dad pulled some strings and -
T. Your dad is on the research team for this thing?
Z. Something like that.
T. I'm not sure how to feel about that. I mean, it sounds like a good enough drug and all, but - how did you go about doing that? Did you actually talk to him?
Z. I stayed over there for.. quite a while. He's being nice to me again. Well, not 'nice' but...
T. I know how he is.
Z. We played catch. And mom made some crazy Sprite and rainbow sherbet thing and wouldn't stop talking about Adam. Homigawd, that Sprite thing was amazing.
T. Sherbet punch. I'll have her make that for the wedding too.
Z. Amazing.
T. You coming to see me?
Z. I don't have a car.
T. E didn't give you the keys to mine?
Z. I ain't heard nothin' about it.
T. Bitch.
Z. Hm?
T. Not you. Not this time, at least. Call her up, you get those keys and you come see me.
Z. Is that an order?
T. You bet your sweet ass it is.
Z. I miss you.
T. How often is it this happens? When you're as soft as a marshmallow and all I can think about is licking you clean of sherbet punch?
Z. I guess not often enough.
T. The natural order of things will probably reset soon... let's enjoy it being right for as long as we can.
Z. I love you.
T. Finally.
