Body Ink

A close friend of mine just got a HUGE tattoo on his arm... at no point did he ever say he felt like getting a tattoo, or mention possible tattoo ideas, or anything of that sort. He just showed up at my door step, rolled his sleeve up, and said "look what i got!" -_- >_< X_X

Absolutely unacceptable.

I greatly dislike people who run out and get impulsive tattoos. Some of my most impulsive friends won't run out and get a tattoo. Hell, I had a friend who was addicted to coke (yes, the drug and not the beverage) and alcohol and still managed not to get an impulsive tattoo! She got a non-nonsensical one, but at least she thought about it first! Body art can be great. It can be creative, expressive, and sentimental. BUT, you need to put some thought into something THAT permanent. It does not wash off with soap, and it can be tricky when you want to get into a certain profession. Also it can fade, it can become stretched out, it can get infected, it can be tatted on incorrectly (i.e. misspelled, misshapen, etc.). While it is possible to get tattoos removed, that's not an inexpensive procedure! It cost some money and its a multi-session ordeal. Not to mention lasers can have a scarring affect on darker skin, especially if not done well. The list of cons to getting a tattoo can go on and on and on. I'm not saying tattoos are bad or mark you as being any sort of way. All I'm saying is that there are a number of things that need to be considered before you do anything to your body of that level of permanency.

Ugh...

I'm just so annoyed with this! At the end of the day, it's his body and there's nothing that can be done at this point... but what a stupid. stupid. STUPID. decision.
