Candied sweet potatoes
I'm really blessed to know my bf and his family. What impresses me is the fact that they have very strong family values and no matter how, all three generations would congregate to celebrate grandparent's birthdays and other family events. Occasionally, just like this evening, my bf, his parents, sister, grandparents and myself would gather to have dinner together.
For a person who enjoys her soup and general Chinese cuisine, the Imperial Treasure restaurant serves up pretty good food. Usually, my bf's parents would order the food and today, I tried a few new dishes. One of which was a sweet dessert of fried sweet potatoes and yam with melted candy poured on it. Prior to the dish arriving, there were bowls of ice water and I was told that I needed to use that to dip the dessert before eating it. When the dish arrived, we had fun picking out and very quickly dipping in cold water. It didn't take us long to finish it. :)
Ah, I realised I have no pictures. Didn't quite cross my mind to whip out my camera and take any plus I had other people around me. After all, I would have missed out on the fun.
