i got a letter from UC santa cruz last night saying it would be ok with them if i went to college there next year...too bad i doubt ill go there, that would be kickass fun...but it does make me 4/4 of the colleges ive heard from
only ten more to go
what else has happened to laura blamey since feb 17? well, im dating patrick (like you didnt already know that), which is way awesome and lots of fun and i love getting to hang out with him, even if it means driving back from moss beach in the rain at like midnight...
i've been happier latly, and ive also found myself bussier latly...i think i was just in a rut for a while and just wanted out, but now that i have work to do i feel less trapped and more productive
im still, however, knitting like a mad woman...i made patrick a scarf in 2 days, and rory a scarf in one
in case i never got to tell you personally, to everyone who was involved in the choir concert on feb 13, it was wonderful. you guys sounded so awesome, it made me miss pretending like i can sing too. thank you for putting so much time and effort into putting on a good show for the rest of us
track is going well..ish. I havnt done a full approach for high jump yet, and im competing on sat. Plus, i cant throw for shit. Yesterday i just got so frustrated i sat down and didnt throw for the rest of the day. I just talked with Kevin (the coach) and tryed to not cry...cuz thats what i do when i get frustrated. The main sorce of my frustration is a girl came to practice today who like never comes, and if she does come she doesnt work hard at all and makes up some excuses and injuries for why she cant practice with the team that day. I work like 1000 times harder than her, and yet after not throwing a dicus since last year, she throws further than me. How does that work? But pole vault is going well, i moved up like a ton on sat on my pole, which is a really good thing for you non cool people, and i get to practice today
Friday is the pasta feed, which is one of my favorite events of the year...i always look forward to seeing boys try and eat faster than the other and listening to the guest speaker and being a team...its rocks
well, i think thats about all i have to say for now
school starts in about 2 hours and it looks like it will be a beautiful day, so maybe ill get up
Love
Laura
