Yes, I’m just gonna go ahead and admit it; I suppose I’m pretty nuts.
I guess making a completely new pattern from scratch for the first time and on limited time was pretty stupid. It would have been finished many times over I I’d been working from an existing pattern. But I can’t keep away from making little changes the whole time, so I’m just delaying and delaying. Sometimes I’m such a stubborn perfectionist, and usually when I have the least time to be so. :) Like now.
I thought that if I added a little on the upper torso by the sleeve (not at the armpit, but at the shoulder an a little way down), then the sleeve fabric won’t have to stretch as far, which might minimize the creases. So, yes, I changed the pattern again, after having made nice new copies with seam allowances and all… That was yesterday. Then I was supposed to have cut out all the ‘real’ costume pieces and had Jo zigzag them all, but he had hurt his leg yesterday and could hardly walk (oh the way he was leaning on me on the way to the Matrix, the poor guy). Today I’ve prewashed the fabric for the shirt, and Jo is out in the woods, so I’m hoping to get going foooor reeeal.
Please note the ‘hoping’ bit. ;)
