Mother's Day and Stunt Kite Action
I woke about 1pm not wanting to do much but today is gonna be pretty sweet.
Grandparents were going to make a bunch of homemade pizza and have Mother's Day at their house at about 3pm. I told my mom I was going to be out today to work on Brian's truck. So I called her to see what she was doing and what time she was heading out to my grandparent's house. She said she was already there so I gathered my crap and left. I stopped by Walgreens and got her some chocolate covered cherries.
Got all spiffed up and went to my grandparent's house and surprise surprise, my mom wasn't there. I went inside and hung out with the family for a little bit and they were busy making pizza. I went out and brought my stunt kite out from the trunk. It was really windy out yesterday and I miss flying my kite. It's a pretty awesome kite I got back when i lived in Virginia Beach. Six foot wingspan, stands as tall as I am, ^_^ its pretty sweet.
I can fly it in winds as low as 1 mph, but we were getting around 10mph. I was doing dives, figure 8's, loops, and even skimmed across the grass. My little twin cousins were trying to hit the kite with tennis balls.
:3 I swooped down and tagged one hehehe don't screw with my kite you tiny humans.
Its getting close to 3pm and Brian calls saying he forgot it was Mother's Day. So we pushed our plans back till 5pm.
Cool, that mean I have a little extra time to spend with the relatives. I call my mom to see where she's at, she said that she was already there, and I don't see her and said "wtf, if you are going somewhere for a get together, be there EARLY"
Finally shows up and I had already eaten and so I gave her the card and candies and she loved them. Talked with everyone for a while and said I had to go, mom got all pissy when I specifically TOLD her that I had other stuff planned for the day.
YES, it's Mother's Day.
YES, I have the whole day off.
BUT, Its the only day I had off in like two weeks.
Left there and headed out to go hang with Brian at his place. Never been there before and he's getting married soon. lol good time to hang with him before his balls get taken away from him.
