I'm writing (or, am in the process of attempting to write, more like) a fic for a challenge, the first sentence of which must be "They never found the heads."
And I've got an idea - and I'm sure this won't make any sense whatsoever if I try to explain in detail, so I won't bother - but the basic premise is heart over head (or mind, as the case may be), and I need EXAMPLES, PEOPLE, EXAMPLES. Throw anything out there - choosing a less compatible college for financial reasons, second-guessing a relationship, WHATEVER.
Please?
In other news, I was directed to pretty much the greatest site in the world today, digholes.com. HOW FRIGGIN COOL IS THAT, RIGHT?
My only thing is...I can't help feeling BETRAYED. By my first grade teacher, my elementary school district, the world in general...
Ever since I was little - seven, let's say - I've been led to believe that if I went out into my backyard and, hey, I dunno, dug a hole straight through the earth, I'd wind up in China (assuming I didn't burn or whatnot somewhere in the center).
And now, almost eleven years later, I'm being told that instead of finding myself in China, land of good food, big walls, and five hundred thousand million bajillion people, I'll pop up in the middle of the friggin INDIAN OCEAN. THERE'S NO BROCCOLI BEEF THERE. OR ORANGE CHICKEN. OR EGG ROLLS.
This is the problem with our education system, see. The sheer volume if misinformation being passed on is astounding, it really is.
I dun like it.
I also don't like the fact that I've just realized that unless I get off my butt and scrounge up twenty-five bucks by the 12th, this will be the last poll I'll post for awhile because my Paid Account will be *ded*. OMG, AND MY MOODTHEME WILL GO AWAY. AND MY ICONS. AND THE PHONE POSTS THAT I NEVER MADE. AND...AND...SOME OTHER STUFF.
Better get on that.
