Jaejoong tried to be happy again and wiped his hands on his apron while waiting for Yunho to come home. He smiled at his dishes and watched the clock. He heard the door unlock and stood up immediately.
“Yunnie!” Jaejoong ran to greet Yunho and hugged him tightly. Then he felt something weird, he felt two hands linked together.
“… Could you kindly let go of my boyfriend?”
Jaejoong looked up from shock and dropped his hands. He never expected Yunho to bring JoonAe to their home.
“Ah! Joongie, you made dinner for us?” Yunho smiled at the dishes on the table.
“… we don’t have enough for three people.” Jaejoong was looking at JoonAe who was taking off her shoes.
“Aww, Joongie. But Joonie said she’s really hungry. Could you let her eat yours?” Yunho begged with a pout.
“… I-I’m… hung-ry too… I was waiting for you to come home…“ Jaejoong trailed off because Yunho just followed his girlfriend to the dining table.
JoonAe just walked to the table and started eating rice and food.
Yunho laughed and smiled, “Joonie’s so cute. Wherever there’s food you go eat it… reminds me of Changmin.”
Jaejoong looked at the couple and felt so left out. This was his house and yet he’s the one who’s isolated.
“Yu-Yun-ah. There isn’t enough food for three people though.” Jaejoong looked at Yunho.
“Jae. Please? Could you go out and eat instead?” Yunho didn’t want Jaejoong to interrupt his time with his girlfriend.
“… I-I’m sorry.” Jaejoong looked away quickly and took off his apron. He just quickly took his wallet and jacket and left the house.
The girl smirked and continued eating the food.
---
Jaejoong walked aimlessly on the streets, he didn’t bother to take the car because he didn’t know where to go anyways. His phone suddenly rang and hoped it was Yunho.
“H-hello?”
“J-jae. D-did you eat dinner yet?” It was Seunghyun on the other line.
“O-oh… Hyunnie. I…’m not hungry.” Jaejoong stopped in front of a store to talk.
“… Too bad. I-I’m gonna take you out anyways, where are you?” Seunghyun felt that something was wrong.
“Hyun… I-.”
“Whoa, I never expected to find you here.” Seunghyun saw Jaejoong fidgeting in front of a store and ran towards him.
Jaejoong looked at the chestnut haired guy and wondered where he came from. He looked around and found himself somewhere pretty far from his house.
“Jae, did you drive here?”
Jaejoong shook his head looking blank.
“It’s cold, come on. Let’s go get something hot to drink, okay?”
----
“Jae, what’s wrong? Why are you out alone?”
“… Nothing.” Jaejoong played with the wooden stick that was used to stir his latte.
“Is… is it Yunho?”
Jaejoong dropped his wooden stick and quickly composed himself. He couldn’t let other people see how
vulnerable he was.
“Jae… you know I’m always here right?” Seunghyun engulfed Jaejoong’s form into his arms and stroked his dark locks gently.
“It’s not good if you keep it inside, you don’t have to tell me anything.” Seunghyun cooed and continued to run his hand through the soft hair.
They stayed like that for a while and when the taller was about to let go, Jaejoong wrapped his arms around him.
Seunghyun tightened his hold when he heard Jaejoong sobbing into his trench coat, he whispered comforting words and kissed the top of the ebony locks.
“Let it all out, Joongie. Just let it go.” Seunghyun stroked the smaller man’s back lovingly and his heart clenched at the heart wrenching sobs that Jaejoong made.
“I-i… can’t.” Jaejoong’s shoulder shook uncontrollably and buried his face in the crook of Seunghyun’s neck.
“Wh-why c-can’t I e-ever be some-someone…” Jaejoong choked on his words and couldn’t continue what he wanted to say.
“Just take it slow, Joongie… it’s all going to be okay.” Seunghyun didn’t know what else he could do to take the pain away.
----
“I’m sorry for making your coat wet, Hyunnie.” Jaejoong rubbed his swollen eyes gently and looked down with an embarrassed smile.
“That’s fine… you look like a little piggy when you cry.” Seunghyun joked and laughed at Jaejoong’s pouting face.
“A very cute one.” Seunghyun started the engine of his car and drove to where Jaejoong lived.
“Thank you so much Hyunnie-yah. I… wouldn’t know what I would do if you weren’t there for me today.” Jaejoong hugged the taller man.
“Just know that you can always come to me when you don’t know what to do.” Seunghyun squeezed his arms around Jaejoong’s waist and pulled back to look at Jaejoong. He stared at the deep brown orbs and leaned in.
Jaejoong blushed when he stared at Seunghyun’s eyes and fluttered his eyes close when he felt the taller man’s breath on his face. He gasped when Seunghyun pulled him right against him and pressed a kiss on his forehead, his eyes, his nose and…
Seunghyun kissed Jaejoong at the corner of his lips and smiled. “Good night, baby.”
