So here's what's been going on. ( I don't usually do cuts for entries other than spoilers or fiction, but I go on at length here, so I won't sandbag your f'list with a wall of text. )

First of all, the UU picnic went well. I almost weaseled out because the weather looked like crap, but it cleared up. The park it was held at is lovely; the pavillion where the event was held was situated so that all the views were good---whether of the river, the woods or the coast.
