A little LESS fluffy, which is not a bad thing

After the food pantry this morning, I stopped in at Publix. They have a scale in the lobby---none here, and I've gotten used to keeping tabs. Now, things have see-sawed over the last few months, but of late, it's been under 300. Not a whole lot, but still, under ( Read more... )

Hey, is Ma'am always capitalized? It looks funny in lower case...

Icapped it because I was being addressed personally, didn't cap it when it was indefinite. I could be wrong' it was late.

Tell me which Publix as I'll be heading over there right after work! ha ha I think it's entirely possible to lose 12 lbs over the week-end. :) It WAS hot outside. hee hee
That is good news, though. It's nice to see the numbers decrease in any increment.

The MI Publix next to Fashion Bug.

I'll believe 12 pounds when I see it on my scale, which is one of those official-looking ones with the 50-pound increments and the bar with the sliding weight to measure smalleramounts.

Hey, I'm happy---even if it isn't accuarate, I remember when I couldn't use Publix scales at all because they "only" went up to 300 and I was MUCH more.

I've always been leery about weighing in a public place in case someone I knew walked by-- Now I really don't care.
According to my home scales, I've lost 7 lbs since my doctor's visit at the beginning of March. If I could lose 7 lbs a month until the wedding, I'd be thrilled. It's doubtful but I am working on it. I've got to start getting out in the early evening and walking - even when it turns hot. Hopefully, that will make me sweat more and perhaps drop a few more lbs.

Yes, but you still need to stay hydrated! Supposedly, that helps flush out your system.

i don't mind being called Ma'am at all. it at least has some dignity. Miss is for little girls. The next person who calls me sir is going to get their teeth smashed in, however.

See, I'm the opposite. To me, "Miss" sounds young and "Ma'am" is short for Old lady. It's vanity on my part, I reckon.

I lately had flat refused to get on the scale at the doctor's office (it was during a period when they were seeing me every ten days or so for my busted leg) until Corgiguy pointed out that their scale weighed 5 pounds less than ours at home.

Unfortunately, the new cholesterol medication seems to make me gain weight, or at least retain water, judging from the puffiness of my fingers. :(

Phooey to retaining water! I've gone through cycles of that, not from meds, just...lucky, I guess. My ankles go from big to bigger, shrink a bit, rinse and repeat.

With me, sloth is always a problem. Especially without a daily work routine, which atleast kept me away from the fridge for 8-10 hours a day.
