A little LESS fluffy, which is not a bad thing

After the food pantry this morning, I stopped in at Publix. They have a scale in the lobby---none here, and I've gotten used to keeping tabs. Now, things have see-sawed over the last few months, but of late, it's been under 300. Not a whole lot, but still, under ( Read more... )

Tell me which Publix as I'll be heading over there right after work! ha ha I think it's entirely possible to lose 12 lbs over the week-end. :) It WAS hot outside. hee hee
That is good news, though. It's nice to see the numbers decrease in any increment.

The MI Publix next to Fashion Bug.

I'll believe 12 pounds when I see it on my scale, which is one of those official-looking ones with the 50-pound increments and the bar with the sliding weight to measure smalleramounts.

Hey, I'm happy---even if it isn't accuarate, I remember when I couldn't use Publix scales at all because they "only" went up to 300 and I was MUCH more.

I've always been leery about weighing in a public place in case someone I knew walked by-- Now I really don't care.
According to my home scales, I've lost 7 lbs since my doctor's visit at the beginning of March. If I could lose 7 lbs a month until the wedding, I'd be thrilled. It's doubtful but I am working on it. I've got to start getting out in the early evening and walking - even when it turns hot. Hopefully, that will make me sweat more and perhaps drop a few more lbs.

Yes, but you still need to stay hydrated! Supposedly, that helps flush out your system.

I am SO hydrated- I now drink about a gallon of water per day. At home, I squeeze a bit of lemon into it.
I've been eating primarily fish and chicken and turkey- no red meat.
Publix had some nice flounder- got 2 pcs for around $3.50- enough for 2 meals. I bought a big pkg of turkey burgers. They are quite delish.
I am now 50 1/2 - can't keep putting off this weight loss. Like you said, reading ingredients is crucial. I gave away a bunch of frozen meals once I read the cholesterol content. It can be expensive to eat healthy. I try to look for healthy bargains.
