Between yesterday's catatonia and Daylight Saving Time kicking in, it was nearly 6AM when I finally fel asleep, and then my alarm was set for 9:20, which was a joke, as I kept hitting the snooze alarm til 10:10. Guh

All the things I moved today was taking down the "curtains" around my bed. And myself out of the door for a short while to ease the serious headache which probably was caused by a combo of forgetting my pills last night, sleeping in awkward hours, upcoming visit of aunt Floo and kitchen stove being a huffing bitch of smoke (I blew my nose in the evening and it was black what came out - seriously dark like coal dark). Creepy. About the rounded up DVDs: YESSSSS, you herded the most of them. Before getting into heavy huffing-buffing with furniture, perhaps you can thin and jettison some of those VHSs in the oak e-center and put some DVDs in that for safe keeping? Just a thought...

I thought you just had your chimney cleaned?! Why is it smoking?! That's scary!
Definately gonna be VHS going out...there are three bookcases full of them now, I mean to get down to a couple drawers (in the credenza that will be coming in from the garage).
The hard part: 1. Getting the boxes of books inherited from brother down from oak e-unit so it can be shifted. 2. Getting the "new" TV into the oak e-unit and hooking up the electronics from the black e-unit...which means moving that/them. 3. Moving the black e-unit out---which is going to mean finding a thrift store that picks up; it's way too big to move by car! 4. Moving the credenza in, shifting the sofa around and bringing in the low bookcase for the DVDs. 5. Doing it without help, because there's NOBODY I can count on to give me a hand. .

Chimney was swept, yes, but the hot wall was not. And that is giving us trouble because we used the kitchen stove pretty much 24/7 when we had the deep-freeze phase here. So now it is acting up. Plus March is a windy stormy month here, which does not make the chimney work any better. Why I mentioned the VHSs was that these can be sorted in a pretty quick way, and then you have a place to keep the DVDs as long as the low bookcase is occupied and in another room. Plus they would be visible (and better looking for GK) and at hand. Moving the book boxes can be tricky, as all the other steps in your e-center shift plan. But you will manage, I am sure Perhaps you could focus your efforts to "nuclear" the guest bathroom you mentioned? That is a room wherein you usually do not drop things to stay "for a moment"...

Got an egg carton out of there...now I've got a row of DVDs where there were VHS. The only thing stopping me from doing more are boxes in the way of the lower shelves. Another shelf and I can get all the DVDs off the black e-unit.
