1. List your top ten favorite movies (10-1, in order of how much you like 'em)
2. Use one sentence and only one to describe why you think it's good
3. Tag four people and see how many of you love the same movies.

Of course, y'all know that I don't tag people, right? And I'm doing it in alphabetical order, because picking a favorite is damn near ( Read more... )

Oooh, I agree with so many of these. Kurt Russell in his prime was fine, fine, so very fine. Although I expect him to hit another prime someday soon since he was a good actor in his teens, his twenties and at several points upward of there.

Uh-huh, uh-huh. I've had a thing for Kurt since his Disney days. And, as you say, no few times since. Although his acting ability wasn't what I was focusing on....

Michael York! *Loved* him. The Three Musketeers would probably be on my list. Sat through that movie three times in the movie theater, in a row. (Back when sneaking from theater to theater was the thing to do on a Saturday.)

Yeah, I remember the theater sneak...that's how my friend Red and I saw the original Star Wars 24 times, sitting through back-to-back shows on numerous consecutive Saturdays....

I'm such a film geek that I can't possibly name my 10 favorite movies. Maybe my 1000 favorite. I did list 20 I really like a lot in my May 29th LJ if you're at all interested.

I may check your list out later. At the moment, I'm on someone else's loathsome computer and in a bad mood about it.

I had a helluva time cutting it back to 10. Maybe I'll go back and do a top 50, which would be a lot broader.

WOW! That is so not the list I would have expected. Apparently K-Gal lives in a much darker place than the lovely Miss Fluffy.

Cutting it down to 10 was a total bitch. The first draft had stuff like Once Upon a Time in Mexico and Pulp Fictionand The Outlaw Josey Wales, but...only 10. And I did away with Excalibur, Ladyhawke, and Labyrinth, not to mention Blade Runner, The Frisco Kid---a bunch of stuff, not all of it fluffy.

This is my favorite Robin Williams movie ever. The other night over cards, we were quoting our favorite lines, and it was all I could do not to burst into a chorus of "Spring is in the air---!"
