A long, but not unsatisfying day

First thing today was product training, as predicted. We got loot! My class, being in the core group for Casual Apparel (which is how they classify Brand X and Geezer Britches, as opposed to fashion), got the lion's share of stuff, including things that the other classes didn't, including pizza and chocolate---the good stuff: Ghiradelli! *smug smile*

The rest of the evening went well. I caught the last 15 minutes of SPN (IMToD, again), and then had two phenomenol orders. I had a gal buy TWO Le Snobbi bags because the color swatches on the website were the same color---she said she'd return the one she didn't like, but by then, the $1600+ she spent on them will be part of my sales numbers. (Christo, what I could do with that kind of cash!) Then, last call of the day, I got a guy who'd tried to place an online order with Geezer Britches the other day that apparently didn't go through. He ordered a buttload of stuff, $500 worth, which would've been happy making even without the Le Snobbi order. He lives in a state we have to charge sales tax for, and when I told him that, he started fussing and I broke out in a cold sweat at the last minute, because I thought he was gonna call the whole thing off. (But he didn't! Score!) As long as he and the Le Snobbi chick don't weasel overnight, my numbers are gonna be sweet for this week!

I'm giving my e-mailbox the evil eye; I ordered a book from Half.com and haven't gotten a shipping confirmation yet. My fingers are crossed that it went out today...it's only coming from GA, so if it was shipped, even media mail, there's a snowball's chance that it MIGHT be here Saturday, which would make me happy. It's nonfiction, for background for a WIP, and I'm a little stuck, since the info I need it for is toward the beginning of the story, and I hate like hell getting stuff wrong and having to revise. (It's a 10 year-old book, and was nowhere to be found in either of our local used bookstores OR Goodwill.)

At some point, I'm going to go see Pirates this weekend; I'm hoping maybe R will be interested on Sunday afternoon after church. If not, I'm going solo. I think I've showed admirable restraint by not having charged over to the theater for the midnight show tonight!
