Well, I think I've successfully jogged myself back into the RP mode. After several months of not playing, I actually managed to play with Mike last night. Granted, it wasn't anything I've ever really played before, but it was still fun.

I've had so many ideas floating around in my head; ideas for RPs and fan fictions that I would never be able to get out by myself. They've been tinkering in my head for months, and I think I've just been ignoring my muse for so long that it's starting to get really, really pissed -- every time I try to write an idea down to flesh it out once I get it played out in my head, the entire thing simply disappears. It's like my muse is trying to get back at me for locking it up for so long.

Another problem is trying to find the right players for said ideas -- players who would actually be able to pull the ideas off without screwing up the character and everything else. I guess that's the crappy part about making your fan fictions mostly out of your RP sessions.

So far, I have three different fictions posted on AFF.net, and not a single one are close to being finished. I have two with Monica for Legacy of Kain, and one with Ha'ri-mun, who's disappeared off of the face of the planet, so the last one's on an almost permanent hiatus until I can think of a way to continue it on my own... Which is proving difficult. I have loads of ideas for it, but trying to tie them into the current situations is proving a very taxing task.

I just hope that my muse will let up on me and let me put my shit onto paper for once; I'm kinda tired of having everything work out great in my head, but being unable to convey it in writing or through drawings.

Writer's block sucks balls and makes Erin a very cranky girl. Grr!

Other than that, I've finally decided on a name for my new kitty. I was going to name him "Weasel Cat" or "Itachi" (Japanese for "weasel") but since Wesley's nickname (much to his chagrin) was "Weasel", he didn't take too well to that idea. Then, I was going to keep it "Nightmare" because it was so contradictory to the kitty's personality that it was almost cute. Almost. THEN... I was going to name him "Crispin" after one of my favorite voice actors (I love you, Zel and Alucard!), but since Chris was the one who gave him to me, it was a little too close to "Chris" for even my comfort.

Finally, though, I decided to stick with naming him "Simon" after my second favorite voice actor (I love you too, Kain!) and while Wes and Chris both agreed that it was a "sissy name for a boy" Wes said that it was my kitty and if it made me happy to name him "Simon" then far be it from him to argue otherwise. So... Now the kitty's name is "Simon".

Simon won't be coming home to the apartment this weekend, since his neutering appointment (Chris is paying, thank GOD! It's expensive!) isn't until the middle of next week, but I'll have him home soon. Once I get his little claws taken out (claws + leather couch = X_X) I'll have to spend the week over with Wes to make sure that Simon doesn't jump around on stuff too much... He's pop a stitch and bleed all over the carpet. Not that the carpet couldn't use replacing anyway, but kitty blood is the last thing we need added to the stains already there and Simon's my responsibility, so I wouldn't want Wes to freak out over trying to keep him from popping a stitch.

I hope that Chief, Wes's dog, gets used to having a kitty in the house; he's a notorious cat chaser, but I think he's calmed down and grown up enough to NOT chase a kitty... Especially MOMMY'S kitty. I think he'll soon learn that messing with Mommy's kitty won't be good for his health.

I'm also thinking about switching colleges. I saw an ad on the tellie the other day about DeVry University and their courses for game design. I gave them a call and set up an appointment for a phone conference on Monday night; hopefully they have a campus in the Charleston area and hopefully they'll let me transfer my student loan. Either of those being a no-go would break the deal.

Anyway... It's late, I'm tired, and I have packing to do tomorrow. Ick.
