Summary: Life is really unfair for gay idols
Taemin stared at key with a shocked expression. He couldn't believe that Key of all people would say something like that about Jonghyun!
”Are you saying that Jonghyun is a player?!”, He blurted out before he could help himself.
”No, hes not. He's just.... sexually frustrated, I think. He doesn't mean to hurt anyone.”, Key said mildly and took one of Taemin's hand into his own, fiddling with his fingers. He didn't dare to look into Taemin's eyes when he said the next words, so instead he just stared down at the slender fingers resting in his palm.
”Even if Jonghyun was serious about you, which I doubt, you still wouldn't be able to live together as a normal couple. You're both idols and on top of that from the same group. No one would accept, or understand. You could never tell the public. It would be like hiding a skeleton, and I don't think you can handle that pressure.”
When Taemin's hand was pulled out of his gentle grasp, he looked up. Just to be meet by an angry face, he didn't think fit Taemin's babysoft features at all.
”You all think I'm just a little kid who can't handle myself, but if you all for one second stop and look closely, you will see that I've grown up. I'm already eighteen. I'm not a kid anymore and you're not my mother!”, Taemin said with clenched teeth, his voice raising to a yell in the end. Key reached out to grab Taemin's hand again to calm him, but was this time denied when the younger boy laid down to sleep.
”Go away!”, he yelled before pulling the cover over his head.
After that, Taemin refused to speak to Key outside of work. In the meantime, Jonghyun became more and more touchy-feely and Taemin had started to flee to their managers bedroom, He hid there, as the manager almost never used it, just so he wouldn't have to deal with the strange emotions he felt. When Jonghyun found out that he hid in their managers room, Taemin was on the verge of accusing him of stalking, but soon he decided that he didn't mind spending so much time with the older. He also didn't mind as much the occasional intimate touches.
They were in their managers room as usual. It somehow became a hangout place for the both of them, and to Jonghyuns satisfaction, it was a place were they could be alone.
If you didn't count the occassional snack bringing by Key, which had happened less each day as he got tired of Taemin's irritated looks. Jonghyun knew Key had discovered his feelings for their youngest member. Jonghyun also knew how overprotective Key was over Taemin. He had gotten a bit tired of Key's babying. What Jonghyun had noticed, while the others had not, was how much Taemin had grown up. He couldn't help himself but to imagine how it would feel to press himself against that slender body or ravage those pouty lips.
So that's what he did.
As they parted from their first kiss, Jonghyun couldn't help but to think that it was worth all the scolding he would get if someone ever found out about this.
”You have been ignoring me for two weeks now. It's time you stopped this childish act. You may think I'm heartless or whatever, but I have to make you understand that the world isn't as naive and innocent as you are!”
Taemin hadn't known what to do when Key had cornered him on his way to the manager's room. The guilt from having kissed his bandmate behind the others back, had made him stop in his track. This wasn't what he had expected to hear, though, and he felt his irritation grow.
”Would he have kissed me if he was just playing with me!?”, Taemin snarled. The moment he said it he realised how naive it sounded. Maybe Key was right? Maybe he wasn't anything more to Jonghyun then a moments fun? He felt himself tearing up at the thought, but quickly dried them of. The best way to know was to ask him himself.
