Quick Art Thoughts
On of the things I love about TV, is that I can have it on as background noise while I'm drawing, so I don't get overwhelmed with trying. If that makes sense. Recently I've had a real creative block, and dividing my attention allows me to just get the work out and not worry too much over getting it exactly right. Once it's down, I can go back and edit.
My current knotwork piece:
I love knotwork, because it's both mechanical and organic. You're following a set of rules and design traditions, but you still have to let the piece grow, starting simple in the center and branching out. This one is less precise than I usually like. And I haven't checked how many strands are in it or anything, but I've enjoyed working on it.
