DnD 4e and The Dark Night
Finally got a chance to play 4th edition today. I want to get a few more sessions in before I render a verdict, but at the moment it seems to be servicable. The flow in combat seemed fairly smooth, but there does seem to be a large number of mid-term and short-term modifiers that could get confusing.
After the first spin with 4e some of us went to see The Dark Knight in IMAX. Some of the exterior scenes at 5 stories high and 7 stories wide were quite impressive. The movie is good. At times I wonder if the film was either too busy or too gritty, but overall I prefer it to the more campy Batman interpretations.
The IMAX theater only showed one preview, and a teaser for the next Harry Potter film that was basically a logo and a date. The preview though was quite exciting, the Watchmen movie. It looked very good.
