I know, I'm a louse. I never make the time. I know that. It's my fault.
I woke up this morning and turned 24. Fortunately I saw it coming. ;)
Had to work today. They let us come in late and then kicked us out early. Two and a half hour day. It was nice. They all said happy birthday and I got a couple of really great gifts that filled my little heart with joy! It's been snowing here for about two weeks. That's been very nice. If you were my friend on Myspace, you'd have already known this and seen the pictures to match.
That's right. I've abandoned you for Myspace. And I do regret that.
I'm loving the fact that I have snow on my birthday. There's a first time for everything. This is a first. Jed's family is having a Christmas Eve dinner tonight, I opted out in order to celebrate my birthday. I've never done THAT before either. I felt bad turning down his aunt's offer, she's just so sweet. But I've never put my own birthday first and I feel I'm finally at a place in my life where I can. SO, Jed and I are going to a REALLY amazing, hoity-toity, fancy-schmancy sushi restaurant downtown called Deep. You know it's hoity-toity, fancy-schmancy by the one-word-name.
After dinner, we're going to our favorite pub for drinks and then to their little theater to see Burn After Reading. Maybe. They have an amazing little theater at the pub. It's small with couches and recliners. They serve alcohol and dinner or snacks or... Whatever. They charge three dollars admission and show all second run films that have just come out of the big theater. Super amazing.
SO, I'm excited about that.
This afternoon will find me humming Christmas tunes in the kitchen while baking my Swedish sweet bread, a wide assortment of cookies and a cheesecake. Our dinner reservations are for 5:30, so I've got enough time to bum around in cozy pants this afternoon.
I hope you are all doing well, I miss you and I miss writing here. One day things will be normal again. I can't say when, but soon.
