For 29 years, local fen have gathered on Friday night, in bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants, to meet, to laugh, to swap news, to play games, to plot and scheme, and even, a few times, to court.
After all that has gone down in recent months and years, it seemed only fitting to the current FRED management that we honour what has gone before, to acknowledge our history, and those who have brought us to our present, that we may better understand how best to carry on the tradition we have inherited.
To that end, we are proud to present -- the First FRED Awards, this Friday, June 1.
For this event, we are braving the Core once again, and holding our ceremonies at the (thankfully between NHL finals events) Jester's Grill and Taproom. A very nice place, so long as hockey isn't on. :)
So, come one, come all, and join with us in our commemoration and appreciation for what has gone before.
