Hehe, thank goodness Starbucks isn't conquering Singapore YET. :S

Anyway, I got here from reading your fics. :D

Is it not? I know it's pretty much a global phenomenon by now, but I think someone once told me they still aren't very popular in Asia.

Hello and welcome, then!

Coffee in South-east Asia are generally sold at around less than USD 1. They come in smaller quantity and taste better than those from Starbucks actually.

Thanks for the welcome! :D
I'm Hayden, btw.

SORRY FOR THE LATE REPLY MY E-MAIL CAN BE A DICK AND NOT LET THINGS APPEAR IN MY INBOX WHEN THEY'VE BEEN SENT AND THAT'S HOW I CHECK MY LJ. D:

Hi Hayden! I should probably let you know that I am a very boring person and my updates are sporadic, but if you want to stick around anyway, that's fine by me.

I'm sorry customers are such sheep. But it was really interesting, besides, as I have no idea about anything to do with coffee.

Ooh, but while I have you, what's the non-Starbucks order for what they call the chai Frappuccino blended cream? Because I sound like an idiot when I try to pretend like I spend time in coffee shops and then order a "You know, like a... cold... chai smoothie... thing. But without the coffee" D:

Which is pretty much what I order at Starbucks, anyway XD

Well, at Gloria Jean's it would probably be the Chai Chiller (which is disgusting, by the way, never get it; they add white chocolate powder for some stupid reason). But other places, I would just ask if they have any blended Chai drinks, and then if they do, ask if they have coffee in them. Chances are they probably don't, because the whole point of Chai is that it isn't coffee. That way you can establish that you don't know a lot about coffee drinks, but you are willing to learn and are considerate of the fact that not every coffee shop in the world is a Starbucks.

It's really weird for me, because I hate Starbucks coffee (I think it's weak and pathetically gross), but I'm in kind of addicted to their chai anything. I literally can't drink anybody else's chai. It's kind of sad.
