Okay guys, advice time.

Let's say that you have ADD really bad. And let's say that to control your ADD, you take adderall. And let's say that because you have a more extreme case, you take a really high dosage of pills, high enough that even people who take adderall will suffer a speed like effect from it.

Now, let's say that you have a daughter. And this daughter has been working a lot lately, much more than she is used to, and as a result, she is extremely tired. Let's also say that she is very stressed, and as a result, she had a panic attack earlier in the day, and that has drained her even more. She is now exhausted and at the point of falling asleep on her feet, but because she just started this job and she really likes it, she doesn't want to go home early. So she calls you and asks you to bring her something to help get her through the last two hours of her shift, like a really strong cup of coffee.

Instead, you bring her adderall. Now, your daughter also has ADD, so it's okay for her to take it. But, she doesn't have ADD as badly as you do, and higher dosages affect her in different ways than you.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, REMEMBER TO TELL HER WHAT DOSAGE YOU GAVE HER. BECAUSE OTHERWISE SHE WILL TAKE IT AND WHEN IT STARTS TO WORK, HER MIND WILL BE TRANSFORMED INTO A HUMMINGBIRD ON SPEED WHILE HER STILL EXHAUSTED BODY REMAINS A SLOTH. A TIRED AND LAZY SLOTH.

But if you don't, and she doesn't know what to do with all her excess mind energy, tell her to write. She will probably get lots and lots and lots done, which is a really good thing because she is working for most of the rest of this week and when she is not working she is doing Thanksgiving, so hopefully she will be able to get an excess on her NaNoWriMo word count.

Or she might only be able to make lists and organize things and possibly get started on a story line for a children's book. Who's to say, really?

EDIT: Also, they say to write what you know. So if your mom is the best mom that you could ever possibly have hoped for, and you know that if she wasn't there for you, you never would have made it this far, pay some homage to her. Like, for instance, give a character in a book the same kind of mom. And then write about an emotional exchange between them. You may find that special place in your head where you don't have to think about the words as you write them, because you know what you're writing so well, they write themselves.

And if you don't have a good relationship with your mom, live vicariously through me, because I honestly, truly believe that for what I have needed, need, and will need, I couldn't have a more perfect mother.

DOUBLE EDIT: I really wish Apple Pages and the NaNoWriMo word counter were more coherent in their analysis of my writing, because there's a 270 difference between what they say my word count is.

I also really wish I knew what was causing the discrepancy, because then I would know which was really more accurate. :/

Oh wait, I just figured it out. Pages counts hyphenated words as more than one, and NaNo most likely doesn't. So NaNo is more accurate. I see. :3

I'm just going to keep updating this entry all night until I have nothing left to say, because I wanted everyone to know why I'm doing it. Which, if you read the entry above, I'm sure you can figure out.

wtfuckery, gottagetthingsdonedamnit, life, mom fail, whee, love thy mother
