Liz sat on her couch, lap full of tarot’wolf, body tilted to face Jason better. Her head turned back towards the kitchen, letting the sounds of Nathaniel, Caleb, and Moon distract her from the current question.
“Liz.”
She sighed, turning back to the Wolf, “I don’t know, Jay…” She lowered her nose to nuzzle the black hair, earning a comforted sound from the snuggly Ian. “I didn’t even think I was the kid type until Ian and Amy came along…”
Jason grinned softly, watching his son snuggle more into Liz. “So have one.” He gave her a look that silenced the question he already knew she was going to ask. “You two have been living together since he moved to town, been sleeping together on and off for that long as well. It isn’t like you’re asking him for a commitment or something. Hell, there are enough of us around that would help if he really didn’t want too. All he needs to do is supply half the DNA.”
Liz gave Jason her own look, though she knew he was right. She had enough family that Caleb wanting to be fatherly or not was a moot point. She lowered her nose to Ian’s shoulder and gave a huff, showing how she felt about Jason being right and causing Ian to scrunch his shoulder, giggling at the same time. “And the problem we have with shifting and carrying to term?”
“I can help with that!” Moon beamed proudly from the doorway, flour streaking one cheek.
Liz would have been worried about her kitchen, except that Nathaniel was in there with them. It eased her worry. She smiled at Moon over her shoulder, “I guess it’s settled then.”
“Good!” Moon grinned, disappearing back into the kitchen with the boys.
Jason chuckled softly, ducking the pillow Liz threw at him. “You can’t say no to a little cousin for Ian and Amy and you know it.”
Liz stuck out her tongue at Jason. “Just have to let Caleb know now.
A crash from the kitchen pulled both Jason and Liz’s attention to the doorway, “I think he just found out?” Jason asked softly, amusement still clear in his voice.
“I have to what?!” Caleb’s voice was loud through the apartment, shocked and unsure. Moon’s cheerful answer sent Nathaniel and Jason into a fit of laughter, Jason nearly falling off the couch with it. Liz just groaned softly, focusing on tickling Ian for now.
