Soooo .. Update time! Time to fill you all in on the doo-dads, what-nots and happenings in my life. ^__^
I had a job interview last Thursday at the Department of Defence. It was for a Entry level 2 in Basic Administration. I think it actually went really, really well, despite having it straight after working all night. The whole ordeal was fairly relaxing; we - the panel and myself - were all making jokes and laughing, and I was able to answer all their questions (quite well, I thought). They even gave me red frogs. :P
I really hope it went as well as I thought. But even if I don’t get the job now, I will be put on a priority list, so if anything comes up in the future, I will be among the first considered, which is excellent! But seriously, here’s hoping! *crosses fingers*
As some of you know, it was my birthday last Friday. I is officially 20! *dances*
I had a fantastic day. Slept in (really late :P) and was woken up to the gentle pandering of my boyfriend. I was spoiled that day, with breakfast in bed, presents stashed around the house, and plenty of affection. <3
Morning = lazy good!
I faffed around the house with Him for most of the day, just relaxing and doing nothing. The plan was to have dinner, go to the ‘G’ Spot in Gunghalin for dessert, and spend the rest of the night on the couch watching movies and eating junk food.
Plan = awesomesauce.
Ash took me to dinner at Lemon Grass, and absolutely lovely Thai restaurant in Woden. The dishes were tasty, and the coconut rice simply divine.
Dinner = tasty!
After dinner we start driving to the G Spot when Ash mentions we still have Wally’s present in the car. As Wally’s house is on the way to dessert, it made sense to drop it off. We call, and Wally is there, so we drive on over. Ash and I make out a bit, then head into Wally’s garden. I am met with cries of “Surprise”, “Happy Birthday”, and about a million party poppers going off in my face.
Surprise = WTF?!??!
My Boy, my wonderful, fantastical Baby, had organised a surprise party for me. So many of my friends were there, and the worst part was that I hadn’t seen it coming! At all! God, I’m dense! :P So many people I hadn’t seen forever were there, and some friends had come down from Sydney to be there, and and .. NYO!!!
Lily = smiley!
The party was awesome! I had so much fun. It was such a better use of the evening than watching movies! There was food and drink and 2 cakes - Both Juz & Debbie and Al had made me a cake. THEY WERE SO TASTY!!! Mmmmm ... !!!!
I just wanna say thankyou to everyone who came along and celebrated with me - it really means so much to me that you guys all came and spent time with me. I thank everyone who gave me presents - I loveses them!! And I wanted to say thankyou to my Ash, who organised the whole thing. I love You, Ash! *hugs*
Then on Saturday was Al’s housewarming. OMG, it too was awesome! Al and his housemate Lulu had cooked up a feast - an amazingly uber tasty treatlike feast of DOOM!!! God, I got so full eating all that food - the egg-noodles were probably the tastiest thing ever created! We then spent the rest of the evening in fine wine, good conversation and watching people beat the snot out of others in Mortal Kombat 1, Street Fighter 1, and many an 80’s arcade game gone by.
Weekend = full of awesome and win!
On a side note, I appear to have lost my ankle bracelet. :( I last remember wearing it in my interview, but when I got home, it seemed to have gone missing. And I can’t find it at home. This makes me extremely sad-face, as I loved my ankle bracelet. I need to get a new one at some point..
To reiterate, weekend was awesome. Friends are fantastic. Boyfriend is awesome and full of love. I is getting old. ;P
Peace out, yo!
