I FUCKING MET DISTURBED!!!!!!

CANADA RULES!!!

I have no idea how to make this story short.....so deal with it

So me and my two best friends (kayla and laura) left our town around 1ish on Memorial to go to the London, Ontario show following google maps, we pretty got there okay.
Border crossing on the way there was a joke. They asked us what country we were from, said the USA and they said alright go ahead.
Didn't even ask for proof.

so then straight drive from the Blue Water Bridge to get to London, its basically the same road the whole way. We get to the city, and instead of paying attention to the address, we were just looking for an obvious sign or something since we figure its gonna look something like Cobo Hall or Joe Louis Arena.
Nope
Its a random building that, from an outsiders perspective, sorta just blends in.
So we passed it up by about 5 or 6 blocks. We realized this and turned around found the building and looked for the parking lot. As we turned down the side street, Kayla and I saw a guy (from Art of Dying) that we thought at a glance looked like John (the bassist) and we were leaughing about it haha wouldnt it be awesome to meet disturbed? and laura was like wait, you guys thought you saw john? I didnt even see him, I thought the bald guy was David.
So kayla and I look again
IT WAS

so were screaming at laura to hurry up and park the car. except we didnt know where it was legal to park anything. We ending up pulling into a random parking lot through the exit, double parked, and took off at a run back to where we saw david.
Sadly, he was no longer there. But before we could even think about that, John came off of the tour bus and came over to the barricade where we ( and 3 other fans) stood waiting.
He signed our tickets and I showed him my believe tattoo which was awesome.

Then he left to do stuff and Danny came over and signed tickets and everything. it was so awesome theyre so friendly! He seemed impressed that we drove so far to see them again. Which was awesome.
so then we stood around for a while waiting to see if we could catch mikey and He came out of the bus but he didnt hear us calling him over or something so the only security guard that was there (why wasnt there more security? that was so wierd) went over to Mikey and asked him if he would go sign our stuff and he said yeah just let him drop off his stuff in the building. And true to his word he came back and signed tickets

and let me say, Mikey is my favourite!!! I'm also a drummer, I bought 2 pairs of his signature series sticks as soon as they came out and hes been my favourite drummer since I heard about Disturbed when I was 11.
So, being the girl I am, I asked him if it would be really awkward if I asked for a hug

"you don't want a hug from me!"
"Yeah I do! Are you Crazy?!?"
so i got a hug!
we talked about the fact that he doesnt know the setlist until they pretty much go on stage which was funny.
So then he had to go warm up

and all we were missing was david and our tickets would be complete.
And we were rather early so we decided to be stalkers and just wait there and see if David came back.
And he did, but he was talking to people and we didnt wanna be rude and call him over when he was talking so we waited
and he ended up going back on the tour bus
and so we knew we would be able to catch him when he came out so we hung out on the sidewalk getting WAY burnt but it was worth it because he came right over to us as soon as he came out and signed our tickets
Laura asked if it would be creepy if she asked for a hug
david said no not creepy at all!
so he gave us all hugs too!
(totally girly and not very 'metal', but I dont care much..how many fans can say they got a chance to hug Disturbed?)

So then we went around to the line and waited the next couple hours to get in, met some cool canadian people . Friendly (awesome accents!) some guy totally got his ass kicked up the street and no one did anything about it except eventually an ambulance was called for him...totally glad that wasnt me.

Then it was time to go in, security guard going up and down the line made me giggle when he said make sure you have your tickets 'oot' instead of out
i love it

Security getting in, surprisingly, was much tougher than Detroit. They individually pat us down up and down the legs and torso
Detroit its just a quick once over with a metal detector and youre free to go

then we got our wrist bands and down into the pit with us. Even waiting all that time to meet the band we stillended up on the barrier right in front of the stage which was great.

The opening bands were okayish. Probably would have enjoyed them more if I had bothered to learn some of their songs before the concert, but end of the school year interfered with that.

Then DISTURBED
same setlist as the Maaw4 tour but it was great.
Canadian crowds are different than Detroit crowds.
Not in a bad way, just different.

Kayla laura and I were bowing to Dan during his guitar solos which he found amusing and gave us the horns and stuff

John recognized us from outside (we think. Either that or we were just way crazy looking) so he kept smiling and making faces at us when he came on our side of the stage.

End of the show Dan threw a shit load of guitar picks towards the three of us after pointing at each of us individually and giving the horns once more so we each got one, which was GREAT

and then it was time to go home. Tradition to get taco bell after concerts ( i dunnno why, we just always do) Canadian taco bell tastes different
and the sauce packets!!! the little saying on them are also in French that amused me so much! which could have been a little second hand high but w/e itsall good

crossing the border once more, it took longer to get back in the USA than getting out, but the guard at the gate was funnny and he had heard of disturbed so he was asking us a bunch of questions about the concert.

Best concert experiance I have EVER had.

Canada, I LOVE YOU!!!!
