(no subject)
I picked up the first book in the Percy Jackson & the Olympians today, and it's pretty good so far. Not sure what I think of Percy just yet, but hey, I'm only through the first couple chapters. I was happy it was in New York though~ Well. A part of it so far, anyway. I have a feeling NYC's going to feature more. Alas. One of these days, a neat little book will feature in Upstate New York! Just...not now apparently.
Anyway, I'm putting the book down for now because I've had a very strong urge to write but I'll be damned if I can actually get anything out. It's actually really driving me nuts. A change in music hasn't helped. No music hasn't helped. Reading something else to kick myself into gear hasn't either. Nor a change in location. And it's not like I'm sapped for ideas, either. I have a few, but I don't think they're any good, or I'll get started on something and just stop.
Or I'll just not have any idea how to start the damn thing, get frustrated, and can it altogether.
And yet, I sat down and wrote something for Gauntlet. A long something, oi.
I don't know. I'm not really even feeling up to tagging at the moment. I want to get something out. Feels like an entire waste of a day thinking about writing and not actually doing it and having something to show for it by the time I go to bed.
