Wow... so it's been an incredibly long time since I've updated. I'm going to blame it on the lack of a good keyboard. Which for the most part is true. Nothing makes you not want to type large amounts of text less then a keyboard with sticky or non working buttons. Sooo at any rate I bought myself a new keyboard for x-mas with part of a gift card from my uncle. Woo hoo!
Things have been going all right for the most part. The job is going well when it comes to being able to do it and getting paid. There was a while there where it seemed like I was the new gal so therefore I was not to be liked/ trusted. This comes after the first two months of working there and being well liked and everyone talking to me to all of a sudden I'm the joke of the office and not pulling my weight. Well, I showed them... we're currently so far caught up on work that I've been given even more tasks to do and the co-worker who works directly tandem to me has nothing to do after Tues due to a timing issue with how our paperwork comes down and when it is cleared and such. So... hah!
We had an excellent Christmas. After the initial stressors that come from too many people being in the house and too many people being in the kitchen lol we were all able to relax and catch up a bit. Adriel and Tim were in from England and Jo and Josh were in from Cali. So it was great to be able to see everyone again.Alex got super spoiled and I couldn't have been more pleased with my gifts if I had picked them out myself. :) For anyone who has watched True Blood and enjoyed it I would highly suggest you snag the Sookie Stackhouse books as well. They are so much fun to read especially anything dealing with our favorite Northman Eric .
I met this really cool girl through Freecycle. She has a little boy who's 17 months old and I gave her some of Alex's clothes he'd outgrown and we hit it off since we have a lot in common. We both do medical billing and both have young boys. She came over yesterday with her son Taybrenn and we had a wonderful playdate. Alex had started to get to the point where I was getting wary that he may not want to play well with others when it came to sharing and such. So we had our moments but thankfully it went pretty well. Next time we go to their house and then we'll see how Taybrenn is with sharing his toys. I'm just so glad I met someone who I can talk to that's my age and has similar things to talk about. Mom is great for a lot of things but sometimes you just want someone yonger to chat to and who will understand what you're talking about.
Alex is talking more and more and understanding so much. It's amazing to see how smart he is and just how much he actually does understand. I consider myself very blessed.
I'll try to update more often now... try being the operative word. lol
