Proactiv Customer Service Sucks Ass

So I went to the automated proactiv kiosk at the Hanover mall, the machine was made of fail and wouldn't let you buy anything.
So I ordered the start up stuff online. I got an email they were out of stock and couldn't give me any idea of when it would ship. So i told them to cancel the order since i was just fed up at that point. After I cancel it they send me an invoice (4 days after they already hit my paypal and the money is currently "pending") the invoice says the item hasn't shipped and will ship when it becomes available. So I respond saying I already cancelled it.
I get an email today that since they already INVOICED me - not even shipped the item or anything- that I will have to wait till I get it, return it to them with confirmation from the post office (costs a dollar) and i pay the shipping costs. It was like, wait- I have to pay shipping on something you didn't ship that was only invoiced since you are going to ship a cancelled item anyways? What the fuck? How do you return something you didn't buy yet?

So now I get to dispute with paypal...
