The Summer is ending and the days grow shorter… Are you afraid of the Dark? Throughout history many people in most cultures have been, but a few unique people from every time and place have been willing to brave the Darkness to journey into deep Underworlds and shadowy realms in search of the hidden treasures of Wisdom and Healing. These Shamans and Witches, Wizards and Wise Women often had Guardians and Guides from the dark realms to help them in their efforts. Whether She is called Hecate, Ereshkigal, the Morrigan, Sekmet, Kali Ma, Oya, Tlazolteutl or Spider Grand-mother, Goddesses of Darkness have been with us from the beginning and they will be with us when we draw our last breath.
Come and meet them and learn their names, hear their stories and touch their faces; learn what special gifts they have for you. Find the special Goddess who will be your Friend when all light has failed and who will help you understand the Mystery of your own Shadow.
The Dark Lady does not only represent the Crone aspect and you will find out much more about Her Mysteries as the weekend unfolds with: a fascinating historical exploration, a guided meditation into the Cave of the Ancient One, a day of making masks and tools to pierce the veil of the past and future, ending in a Council of the Dark Goddesses where we will hear Her prophecies revealed to us.
Join Morning Glory Zell, noted Goddess historian and Priestess with 35 years of experience and a collection of nearly 300 votive Goddess statues for an unforgettable weekend journey of sacred learning and transformational experience. In seclusion due to cancer for the last 8 years, she has recently emerged from her cocoon to continue her life’s work of teaching the ancient ways.
Our Lady of Darkness Retreat will be held at beautiful Raven Haven on 10 private acres with a spa and swimming pool, a magickal Faery porch and an awesome Temple. It’s all waiting just for your presence!
This Retreat was originally scheduled for the last weekend in September but it has been rescheduled because of a conflict of events so, there is still time to get registered but you should hurry because attendance is limited to only 13 people.
