Dragon*Con 2008!!
Mel and I made it home safely. Got stuck, as in dead stop, on I-75 in Kentucky for probably close to a half hour. It's okay, the car behind us was also coming from D*C and we had a lovely conversation with them while stopped. Don't know what caused it, but it doesn't really matter, I guess.
Had fun, even though the whole con feeling was a little off. Had an awesome room again 'cause the Marriott is full of a bunch of idiots and assholes. That's the staff, not the guests.
I only got 2 auto's this year, Michael Rosenbaum signed my Smallville lunch box and Nathan Fillion signed my cast photo that was already signed by Alan Tudyk, Ron Glass, and Summer Glau.
Went to some very funny panels, including the Firefly crew (Nathan, Morena, Jewel and Alan), Torchwood (Garreth David-Lloyd [Ianto], Anthony Lewis [Tommy] and James Marsters [Cpt. John Hart]), Smallville (Michael Rosenbaum [Lex Luthor] and James Marsters [Brainiac}), Harry Potter (Matthew Lewis [Neville Longbottom]) and Stargate (Erick Avari, David Nykl [Radick Zalenka], Morena Baccarin [Adria], Jewel Staite [Dr. Keller], Cliff Simon [Ba'al], Beau Bridges [Gen. Landry] and Rainbow Sun Franks [Lt. Ford]).
Bought some more posters that I don't really have wall space for anymore. 2 Serenity ones and a Boondock Saints one.
Got laid. It was awesome.
Hung with Browncoats. It was awesome.
Made out with Beans. It was awesome.
Saw Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog again (and heard many people singing the songs many times). It was awesome.
Participated in 2 showings of the Buffy Horror Picture Show. It was awesome.
Lots of awesome. I do love Dragon*Con.
Reading list coming up sometime soon.
