What a day. I went to Wal-Mart this morning for their limited sales event. It was raining when I ventured out into the darkness. On the way, it was fairly desolate going down the streets, so I smoked a little to ease the mood. I got to the parking lot at 4:20am. This made for the dealing with massive other shoppers more bearable. I got into line and bullshitted with some others, while we waited. There were maybe 150 people there already lined up. Within the 40 minutes after I arrived about another 200 or so got into line, which wrapped around the building.
As we entered the store, there was a long line just to get upstairs. I figured this would happen, due to the major electronics being sold. I decided to NOT follow the flow or a major path. I wasn't interested in things that seemed high on the wanted list. I ventured off toward the men's department instead. I wandered throughout the whole store very casually. I got my things and went home.
Everything seemed fairly calm. There were no people rushing madly toward certain items. Nor did I see anyone fighting over a last item of something.

I slept for a few hours and then Sarah called me. Wanted to hang out for the evening, so we decided to go see RENT. HOLY SHIT! What a beautiful movie. The songs really blasted out to you. There were a few tear jerking moments closer to the end. I LOVED IT! I think the guy who played Roger had a huge Jon Bon Jovi feel to him. He sings like him and had the look going toward it as well. I was also taking note on his voice. Not too high or deep. I could do it. Think I'll start learning his songs for auditions in the future.
Mimi's rendition of Out Tonight really gives me ideas too.
cheshire_eddie has been on me for a couple years about using that song as a Frank-n-Furter entrance. But, since I'd never seen the show, I had no idea how to do it. NOW, my swims with possibilities. So sometime in the future it will be used by me. I also want to put together a preshow to La Vie Boheme. I'm going to start planning it and will bring up the idea to Brigid when I have it complete.
I saw
natehavoc in the streets during the New Years scene. I was wondering where he'd be. But I realized it would have been hard to miss him. His hair stands out among the shadows first.
In Sad News of the Acting World.......
Pat Morita dies at age 73. He is best known for his role as Mr. Miagi in The Karate Kid movies. But many forget he was also on Happy days. He was Arnold, the original proprietor of Arnold's, the burger joint they all hung out at.
Rest In Peace Mr. Miagi-san.
