MACROXX!

My trip got moved to November! I'm very glad not to be gone now! I hopefully won't miss the leaves changing as a result. I love fall; the cold air is invigorating, and I've been experiencing many good feelings I remember having felt before but don't entirely understand.

I've been watching the anime Macross lately, and it's pretty awesome, though the animation is often awful. It was made in the 80s and has some really blatant and hilarious sexism in it. Here's a snippet of a conversation (which I can't find proof of on the internet yet) between the main male character, a pilot, and a main female character, who's a captain or something on the bridge of a space battleship.

Main character - "Women shouldn't be in the army anyway. They're much cuter when they're cooking or singing."
Female character - "But... I can do all those things too!"

Not "That's like a textbook stereotype!" but "I can do all those things too!" THAT'S AWESOME. It's so ridiculous that I wonder if it was meant to be funny, but I don't think it was!
