YAR! I satisfy my blogging urge on Warnerburg these days, mostly. But here, I can slander my enemies and say inappropriate personal things to my heart's friggin' content!
I totally got a house! It was a kind of cool process; I saw the house for the first time one day, made an offer the next day, and the offer was accepted the day after that. I like this place a lot! There's a whole lot of wood paneling in it, and the guy who lived here before did tons of work in it, which I appreciate. The only big thing I had to do was clean out a whole lot of gross cat hair. The sign on my door still says "The Rozinski's," which I considered marker-ing over with "Woodopolis." In the end, I agree with Brandon, who holds that the sign is awesome as it is and who suspects the Rozinskis are trapped somewhere in my basement.
So that's been fun; I'm still busy with house-related things, but that can be enjoyable. I moved in about a month ago. The downside: MOWING THE LAWN! I HATE MOWING THE LAWN! I SHALL BURN THE LAWN TO THE GROUND! Fun fact: you can mow over apples with a push mower and nothing bad will happen! AWESOME
Work's been pretty good, and I'm still glad to have my job, though I've been working longer days for the past few weeks on a big project. At the end of that, it turns out that I've been selected to go on a business trip of sorts to Olive Branch, Mississippi. That'll be interesting - it may happen on the week of October 6th, so it snuck up on me quickly. I'll try to find a museum or bookstore to go to while my coworkers do whatever it is the stereotypical coworker does after work (i.e. go to bars). It'll be a kind of nice break for the usual, or "the yoozh," but I'll be glad to come back home afterwards. Hopefully I'll be able to stay up to speed on Warnerburg in spite of this.
Other things: I'm going to bed earlier these days, because I screw up my body when I go to bed at 2 on weekends and try to go to bed at 10 on weekdays. I finished Hajime no Ippo and it was AWESOME and everyone should watch it. I'm watching a show called "Kamichu!" now, and I really like it, though I don't yet know anyone I'd recommend it to. It's cute, somewhat slow-paced, surreal, kind of shoujo-ish, and nice. It's my cup of tea and that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
