Bon Jovi - The O2 - Sunday 25th June 2007

Jun 25, 2007 20:52

Concert was superb, Bon Jovi were on form and Jon in particular was having an absolute ball. They started the concert with Livin' on a Prayer which was surprising as I was expecting that in one of the encores - great way to kick the concert off though. They played a mix of old and new with a couple of covers including the old faithful; Shout and a stunning version of Hallelujah which gave me goosebumps. Summertime was my early favourite from the new album but after last night I'd say Any Other Day is a front-runner for my favourite song

The support band, Goldspot, were utter pants and would have been better placed in one of the small tents at Glastonbury.

I queued an hour for a t-shirt and they'd run out of the only one I wanted! The event t-shirts were pretty poor - very quick and lazy designs which seemed to be more like adverts for the O2 than Bon Jovi shirts!

The O2 Arena is a superb venue for music, the acoustics are top notch. The organisation and how they have people queuing is on the other hand, quite awful! I'm sure they'll sort it out in time.

Overall it was a top notch convert though, just a shame they've done such long concerts in the past, because at 2 hours I was left wanting and kind of expecting more!
