I think in the wake of LJ deleting inactive journals, I can in good conscience once again pimp the good old fanfiction archive for everyone who feels that their fic isn’t safe with LJ.

I assume people will at least know archives that host “their” fandom. Meaning, LOTR people will know lotrff.com, Merlin people will know the Merlin Fanfiction Archive and Who fans will know Teaspoon. So I will focus on multifandom archives, because - believe it or not - there is a lot out there that isn’t ff.net. And there certainly is something for every taste, so pick your poison!

Also, if you know of other archives you feel should be on the list, please comment. I’ll gladly expand on this post! Especially suggestions for themed archives are very welcome.

Multifandom Fanfiction Archives

You like writing about sex, drugs and rock’n'roll. Your fiction is adult in nature and you like to get your characters naked and sweaty.

You like writing for various fandoms, but you generally stay family-friendly. You don’t write anything that warrants an adult rating. You would never write RPF and you don’t write original fiction.

You don’t like to be limited in any way. You write for multiple fandoms and genres, may it be gen, het or slash. Your ratings are all over the place - from kid friendly to definitely adult.

You do all of the above - write for several fandoms and ratings, but you also write RPF.

You write fanfiction and original fiction of all ratings. You put a high emphasis on quality and expect an archive to uphold certain standards. You want your stories to be in the company of equally good fiction.
