ah, free internet. if you have the patience for the slowness. had another interview yesterday, it went super well (the first one not having panned out, obviously). i should get a yea or nay either monday or tuesday next week. it's only a 4-month dealie, but there's shitloads of opportunity for another position within the company; it's a management section of pitney-bowes, and they deal with the federal gov't's microsoft contract and stuff. so i'd be making good money (14$/hr is pretty good for me, anyways) and it would really get me back on my feet.
as for christmas, well, i can't get anybody anything this year :(( i'm not sure if i can even get myself a tree. ken might help me out there. i hate HATE not being able to reciprocate gifts at christmas... not out of feeling like i'm being pressured by the capitalistic nature of the season, but more because i subscribe to one good turn deserves another (i like making people happy)... and i also don't want to feel like i'm the subject of my family's charity. *sighs* i should at least be able to pay my rent for january, if nothing else, but that's going to be it. i borrowed 120$ from my mom to pay off rogers wireless (either that, or lose my only form of communication with potential employers). now royal bank is trying to call me about my visa.
i have about 130$ to my name right now in my account. i'm scared to use it for anything in case my ei payment next week is short of my half of the rent. but i'll have to get some groceries at some point. i also have to submit my forms for interest relief for my student loans... i can't have them taking out 85$ per month either right now.
