Good fences make good neighbors
And I think Robert Frost was right. Here's the new fence. We had to cover the pool while the new fence was installed, so we needed to add shock to the pool. Marlin mocumbear is also showing off after losing 35# in the last 6 weeks. He's been watching his diet, but even more he's been using his birthday present - a two-year membership to 24-Hour Fitness. I think he averages about 2 hours/day there.
Even a six-foot privacy fence is not enough to completely block out the neighbors as they are slightly uphill from us.
I really like that we can now stay in the back yard without going through the gate. We moved the gate to be on the other side of the side door. We can also hide the trash & recycling bins behind the fence. We also have a gate on the other side of the house to make life easier. Both automatically close.
Technically, this actually brings our back yard up to code. Our old ratty fence was grandfathered in.
