Home again, having spent the last two days in Ely, house-hunting.
We liked the first one we looked at. But it has a lot of stairs...
The second one we looked at was too far from the town centre, and much too close to the bypass - the noise was oppressive.
The third (a bungalow) was too small and had stairs! (What are stairs doing in a bungalow?)
The fourth had been expensively refurbished, and the price reflected this. Unfortunately, we would have had to spend a lot more money undoing much of the refurbishment to make it liveable in/with.
I liked the fifth and last one we looked at, but unfortunately it is a bit small for us.
We still like the first one, so we have emailed the agent seeking clarification on a number of points.
