Update
I finished taking the oral antibiotics on Friday, which was also the first day on which I took no pain killers. I'm still using the spray that the GP prescribed for me last last Monday, which she told me to use instead of the spray the walk-in centre had prescribed.
I'm still deaf and the ear is still a little tender, but it's much better than it was. I shall go back to the GP tomorrow and see what she suggests. I'm hoping this ear problem won't stop me flying to FilkContinental in just under two weeks time.
