Hey there, rocketeers.

I haven't posted in fo'evah.
Not too much new here. I recently scored some fun stuff from the library. I'm currently reading an interesting book on synchronicity. It's pretty hilarious, how do I discribe this guy's angle...

First of all, the cover design presents the book like a bad Necronomicon rip off, then there are like 5 pages of disclaimers in the beginning that are so much like the stone faces in Laberynth "TURN BACK WHILE YOU STILL CAN!" "TAKE HEED, AND GO NO FURTHER!" "BEWARE!!" in so many words saying that this book is like acid, you'll never be the same again. The first few chapters are about quantum physics, specifically about time travel and multiple realities, then the author tries to write like James Joyce and fails miserably, then he expounds upon lots of esoterica (in my opinion, much in the same fashion as a tweaker), and where I am now he is going off about Scientology and all the things he learned while living with L. Ron Hubbard.

DUDE, L. Ron Hubbard is so sheisty! How many people have recounted their experiences living with him and his croonies? Gawd, I was having a blast reading this guy's tripe until he started going off about his Hubbard worshipping. I respect everyone's beliefs, but I still have a hard time with the whole "guru" concept, why worship another puny human? And YES, in all fairness I do realize that the religion of Scientology isn't the worship of L. Ron Hubbard, I'm just astounded the man got away with convincing hundreds of people to be in his personal "crew." Yep, he had slaves. WTF. I'm so jealous.
Anyway, so all the while the author keeps bringing all of this stuff back to the Montauk Project/Philidelphia Experiment and his previous works on the subject. Oh yeah, and mentioning just how controversial he is, like, A LOT.

Basically, for anyone interested, I would say that Synchronicity and The Seventh Seal by Peter Moon is super entertaining much in the same fashion as The Big Book of Conspericies, or anything by Robert Anton Wilson, but this book doesn't even compare to any of those works in quality.

The only other noteworthy thing I grabbed from the library would be the Wow Wow Wibble Woggle Wozzie Woodle Woo on DVD. Tim Noah performs the passion-play of my life. **sigh**
I recommend to everyone to watch their beloved childhood movies on a regular basis, it's pretty comforting.

I'm Out.
