Hey girls, ive been on the lookout for eyelash serums for quite a while now. Ive considered Lilash which was usd120+ i think but it was crazily expensive and not affordable for me in the long run. Then i read about Talika's Lipocils eyelash conditioning gel a short while ago and was looking at their website online before finding at at Paragon Metro. I almost got it then but thank goodness cuz a spree for it opened online and it was $37.99 i think while it was $69. OHOHOHO!
So anyway i received it two days ago and have started using it and i thought that i could monitor its effectiveness together with you girls (just in case i delude myself)!
Here's what's written on the brochure:
And pictures of the actual product:
The spree organiser has guaranteed authenticity for this product and also mentioned that the packing has changed. I trust her though cuz she's always proven to be efficient and trustworthy for all her previous sprees.
Serums work by conditioning the lashes and make them healthier decreasing fallout and hence allowing them to grow longer. The 'gel' is really just liquid btw.
The user is supposed to apply the product onto the lashes with the mascara wand, ensuring that the product touches the roots of the eyelash as well. What im going to do however is to use the dispoable eyeliner brush thats in the picture as well to apply the product directly onto the roots of my lashes and not be using the wand at all. It just seems to me that applying the product directly to the lashes is like only applying conditioning oil to the nail itself and the cuticles of your nails, not necessary and a waste of the product.
Also, a more important reason would be hygiene. Two years ago i tried DHC's eyelash serumn as well, it helped a couple of baby lashes grow BUT almost gave me eye infection a couple of times, plus i could see dirt within the bottle. So i think that no matter how you thoroughly you clean your lashes, dirt will still be trapped.
Pictures of my eyelashes before usage below! I will try to update with pictures once a week. They're bloody difficult to take though |:
There are gaps between my lashes that i hope will be filled with using this conditioning gel, and hopefully get more lashes grow out in new areas as well plus get longer length! One can hope right? :P
Pictures will be updated a week later! (:
