I have officially run out of grandfathers. My Mother's Father died this morning around 10AM Eastern time. From what I'm told, it was heart failure, which makes sense to me seeing that he's had several surgeries for heart problems, as well as years of smoking and drinking. I've not seen him since about 2 years before I moved away from Louisville, so that makes it about 8 years total. He and I didn't get a long becuase he called me "a worthless fucker" or something like that. I decided that I really had no desire to be around him after that and I really don't regret it, he was a nasty old man who cared for nobody but himself. So I'll not be headed back for the funeral, but my trip is still on in December for the X-mas trip, which is going to be a computer assembly extravaganza! New machine for Mom, new machine for Dad. Niether is as fast as my machine of course :) That would just be crazy.
