It's almost NaNoWriMo time again, and I've been looking forward to it. I have an idea I think I can actually finish this time unlike last year. In fact I have a synopsis of the idea that is almost 22 pages long, and is over 13k words. Obviously none of what is written can be used for NaNoWriMo, that would be cheating, but it is only a synopsis much like having an outline to go by. I wrote the synopsis when I created the character for a D&D campaign that we started with him, and I like the character idea a lot and enjoyed playing him as well... though the others have abandoned that campaign.
However, if the synopsis is 1/4 of the length of the necessary length I think it should be pretty easy to fill it in, giving each section all the detail it deserves and pull it up to at least 50k, though I have a feeling it may be a lot longer. This could even, perhaps, make a couple of novellas like a trilogy sort of thing. I can even think of three possible separate areas, just not sure each one will be long enough to stand alone.
I think I need a NaNoWriMo icon...
