too long between posts
I don't update nearly as often as I feel like I 'should', but trust me when I say I do read every single entry of every person on my friends list. Nothing too much is happening with me right now. We are having some friends over tomorrow night for a (rainy) cook-out, but whatever -- I've got a nice screened porch, a sheltered hot tub, and a great little gas grill. Russ is buying a box of bacon-wrapped filets at the meat market today and I'll be throwing some sides together tomorrow. It is my nephew's 9th birthday party tomorrow, but I just don't think I can bring myself to spend two hours with a half-dozen or so little 9 year-old kids. My bad. I'll probably stay home and try to straighten up my house and just send a card with ten bucks in it.
I don't have any road trips planned for the summer. Well, except for the week at the beach in August. Guess it's time to get crackin' with the planning stage, or at the very least, come up with a suitable destination. I wanna go back to New Orleans and actually spend enough time there to see something besides Bourbon Street. I want to go back to NYC and wave at people from the street in front of the Today Show. I want to hold up a sign for the world to see that sez "I'm 60 Today". I can do that one on May 26th...
