Just a little quickie ...
I haven't been here much lately. I do try to at least catch up on my what my friends have written, but if I don't leave a comment, please don't take it personally. I promise, at some point, I do read it ALL! Yes, lildi, even about Priscilla!
I have been working like crazy. We have a new justice on the court which has made things different, but not in a bad way. It'll take some time for him to learn just how we do stuff. And the work keeps taking more time to process. Since I have over 650 active appeals, it's small wonder, huh?
The family is going to Fincastle, VA for Thanksgiving. I will be cooking for around 15 at my sister's house. Her man, Homer, buys whatever I need to cook and always tells me "hey JJ, get the GOOD stuff!", so money is no object for whatever I decide to cook. I have collected some unusual recipes to try on my human guinea pigs (i.e. beloved family members!) and they always seem to not mind sampling anything I make. The guys play "bwana", great hunter, and we girls do what girls do: talk, shop, eat, play, watch movies with men we like to look at and comment upon their ass.ets) I think we will have an interesting week. I pray my sister feels well enough to play and isn't in too much pain. I know she loves having me up there, because otherwise, I don't think she eats much.
My other sister, the one in Hartsville, is interviewing for a job with the Attorney General's office tomorrow. I really, REALLY hope she gets this job because that will mean then they have to move back to Columbia!!
If I don't get back here to post before the holidays, I hope all of my friends have a safe and happy thanksgiving. I would only remind us all to remember what we have to be thankful for ... there's so much more than you realize!
AND I would like to give a big ol' honkin' berfday wish to my friend, MEADOW!! I hope it's happy and I hope you get lots of everything you want and nothing that you don't!!
