Nearly done packing for Whitby!

Just coats, shoes and hats to sort out now, which shouldn't take long.

I'm taking a break to do a facepack and watch Holby City - or I would be, if BBC would get round to bloody putting it on iPlayer. Gah!

What have I forgotten?

Looks like it's going to be a nice one - forecast is currently saying sunny though not terribly warm, and a bit windy. Hang on to those parasols!

Ooh, some of the Disney Store's new Alice In Wonderland merchandise is rather nice! I love the jewellery, and the Red Queen bag and tshirt, and the mugs.

I deserve pretty things, don't I? *flutters eyelashes*

Right. Half an hour in the door and:

Whitby suitcase unpacked and put away in coat cupboard.
Laundry on.
Washing up done (except for pans that need soaking and scrubbing)
Bed stripped, mattress hoovered to remove sand shed by Whitby unpacking*
Bedlinen changed
Shopping put away

Now to go and fill my chow mein hole. I think I deserve it!

Hurrah! Have booked Whitby accommodation. We're a bit of a way out, in Sleights (the village at the bottom of the enromous hill you encounter just before coming into Whitby), but we'll have the car and there are regular buses during the day, so it won't be too much of a problem.

Still struggling with Whitby accommodation - left it far too late due to being pathologically incapable of thinking about anything until after BiCon, and then all the recent stresses.

Anyone going who has a spare bed/sofabed for me and my d_floorlandmineI' happy to cook for any household we end up in (at least once), and Simon can probably be dragooned into ( Read more... )
